Trumped

The boys got a free day home from school today thanks to Donald Trump. Normally, the primary voting takes place during a school day, and no one shows up. But this time, Trump had everyone in a lather so they were expecting record turnout. (Even Mom went to vote against Trump.) Also, they decided that Trump supporters cannot be trusted around children, so out of an abundance of cowardice and idiocy the School Board shut down the schools for the day. Dad and Pete went for an allergy shot in the morning. Since Mom took her car to work by accident, Pete practiced a little bit of driving in the parking lot with Dad’s car. He did pretty well for his first time on a manual transmission. On the way home, they stopped at Dunkin' Donuts and the bank. Pete’s $30 check from Shir Ami would not work on mobile deposit, so Pete had to bring it in to the bank directly. Sam went with his friends to the Ice House, and then Mom got Wendy’s for dinner. Dad had Jello, since he was prepping for his Colonoscopy in the morning. He was definitely coveting the burgers and nuggets that everyone else was enjoying. By the way, Trump won. Northern Virginia voted for Rubio, so the blame lies with the yokels from rural Virginia (and with John Kasich, for not dropping out of the race and taking the 6% of critical intelligent votes that Rubio needed, causing him to lose to Trump by 3%).
